CLARIFICATION: Sheriff office fully staffed

LYNDON—During the Jan. 5 meeting of the Melvern City Council, Melvern City Marshall Kenen Martinez told the council he was handling the embezzling investigation due to understaffing in the Osage County Sheriff’s Department.

“We are currently full staffed,” Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn said in an email on Friday, Jan. 9. “I do not have open deputy positions, nor do I have an open investigator position.”

Dunn wished to ensure the public the department is fully staffed.
