Koger, Dunn top Flint Hills cross country

OSAGE CITY—Osage County teams commanded the Osage City cross country meet Oct. 9 at the Osage City Municipal Golf Course.

Osage City’s Aundrea Koger won the girls’ meet in 15:22.12, edging Hannah Honeyman of SFT, who trailed by 4 seconds in 15:26.59.

Sarah Peterson was second for Osage City and 11th overall in 17:32.19; Maren Peterson was 19th in 18:34; Jessica Davis was 26th in 19:04.69 and Tori Tomlinson was 32nd in 20:18.46.

Grace Spencer led the Lyndon girls, placing 29th in 19:35.47; Taylor Martin was 33rd in 20:23.47 and Kenna Miller was 35th in 20:47.10.

Lyndon’s Chris Dunn won the boys’ meet in 17:07.75, beating Silver Lake’s Jacob Gerber by over 30 seconds. Ethan Payne was second for the Tigers and 32nd overall in 20:22.37; Zach Hogan was 34th in 20:27.50.

Osage City’s Rider Nettleton was second among county runners and fifth overall in 18:19. 84. Clay Thomas was eighth in 18:34.56 and Brennan Lawless was ninth in 18:36.24, also medaling for the Indians. J.T. Thompson wrapped up Osage City’s four-man score and second-place team finish, placing 26th in 19:51.34.

Ian Trego led SFT, placing 12th in 18:44.74; Michael Musick was 18th in 19:24.09, Soeren Jaeger was 19th in 19:25.06, Caleb Simpson was 20th in 19:26.49 and Brett Masters was 21st in 19:39.96.
