Searchers locate missing woman

The search for Judy Lamberd continued this morning with assistance from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Melvern and Overbrook Police Departments, along with Osage County Fire Districts No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, the Pomona Fire Department, Osage County Emergency Management and the Road and Bridge department.

Last night’s air search was completed by the Kansas Highway Patrol.

A tip was received at 9:04 a.m. of a female citizen walking near the Osage and Franklin County line, southeast of Quenemo.Searchers were in the area and located Judy Lamberd by 9:07 a.m.

The investigation has revealed no foul play. The Sheriff’s Office thanks the volunteers who helped search for Judy Lamberd.
