WICHITA—Barbara J. Stephens retired administrative supervisor with the U.S. Marshall Service died Aug. 9, 2014. She was 76.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodward Norris Johnson; and a brother, Dwayne Norris Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home; her mother, Gertrude “Emma” Johnson, Pomona; three children, Susan Jo Cassity, Osage City, Ed Thompson and wife, Penny, Pomona, and Gary Dean Thompson and wife, Bonnie, Osage City; two stepchildren, Scott Stephens and wife, Tammy, Frisco, Texas, and Greg Stephens and wife, Joann, Wichita; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway, Wichita. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.

A memorial has been established with Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7901 W. 21st St., Wichita, KS 67212.
